HRS dialysis patient travel

Description

The FHRS-funded project aims to offer dialysis patients the opportunity to travel in complete safety and tranquillity in the company of specialist carers and doctors. This innovative program enables patients requiring regular dialysis to enjoy the pleasures of travel while benefiting from high-quality medical care. By facilitating access to care while traveling, this project aims to transform the daily lives of dialysis patients, offering them a better quality of life and greater freedom of movement.

Added value

The main objective is to significantly improve the quality of life of dialysis patients. By enabling its patients to travel, Robert Schuman Hospitals offers freedom of movement and self-motivation, not only helping to break the isolation often felt by patients, but also enabling them to take part in family and social activities without compromising their health. What’s more, continuous medical monitoring ensures optimum safety, reducing the risks associated with travel and treatment interruptions.

"This project is revolutionizing the lives of dialysis patients by enabling them to travel in complete safety with specialized medical supervision, thus offering a better quality of life and greater freedom of movement."
Alexander Kranz
Dialysis department manager
"This concept of annual trips with our patients and their families is a long-standing tradition that has been in place for over 30 years. The aim is to get to know our chronic patients better as equal partners in a neutral environment (vacation destination) and on a more intensive basis. For many patients, it's also the only opportunity they have to spend a vacation with their own dialysis doctor and nursing staff on the vacation trips we organize."
