Exomicroscope 3D

Description

The 3D microscope or exomicroscope from ZEISS is a state-of-the-art microscope that overcomes the latest technical constraints associated with binocular microscopes. The operator’s position is freed up, and the image is retransmitted directly onto a giant 4K screen with exceptional image quality in 3 dimensions.

Added value

This project offers significant added value for patients, as it makes microsurgical procedures more reliable, ensuring patency of vessels less than one millimetre in diameter, while reducing operating time. In addition, the risk of failure due to thrombosis is considerably reduced thanks to permeability checks using the fluorescein test.

Status

Implemented since February 2023 at HRS for weekly use of Kinévo (SOS hands & scheduled surgery).

"This project improves the reliability of microsurgical gestures, ensures the permeability of vessels smaller than one millimeter, reduces operating time and considerably reduces the risk of thrombosis thanks to permeability controls using the fluorescein test."
Christophe Duysens
Orthopaedic surgeon, SOS Main
"The 3D microscope from ZEISS is revolutionizing microsurgery by improving precision, reducing operating time and minimizing the risk of thrombosis, thus ensuring greater patient safety."
